CoStar Group is reporting that the Walnut Creek Chili’s Fetches $398 PSF. The 5,778 square foot building sold for $2.3 million.
Real estate investors are still interested in purchasing prime real estate in a great location.

The Contra Costa Times is reporting on the New plan for Neiman Marcus in Walnut Creek.
The plans from Macerich detail a store almost 15,000 square feet smaller and only two stories tall.
The earlier proposal for a 107,000 square-foot project met with disapproval of the local community as it planned to exceed the local height limit.

Macerich, the owner of Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek, is reconsidering how to bring Neiman Marcus to downtown.
Macerich officials are going back to the drawing board, addressing residents’ concerns raised during public hearings and gathered through a private poll of 1,000 residents, Davis said. It might go through the normal city processes again, or Macerich may take the new plan to the voters through its own initiative, he said.

The Golden State is going to be in for a rough year. The Associated Press is reporting that the state may deliver just 15 percent of the requested amount to California cities and farms.

Fewer crops may be planted if there is no water for the crops. In economic terms this could mean higher prices for some of the every day food stuffs that Californians enjoy.
Californians had better pray for rain.
